The University of North Texas at Dallas is pleased to announce that the university raised $22,461 on September 14, 2017, as part of North Texas Giving Day, sponsored by the Communities Foundation of Texas. The total raised represents a 64 percent increase from 2016.

North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour fundraising event that builds awareness and support for non-profits throughout North Texas. For a young university like UNT Dallas, North Texas Giving Day provides a chance to introduce the school to the community, and raise funds to support the school's mission of empowering students, transforming lives, and strengthening communities. UNT Dallas is now one step closer to reaching its overall fundraising goal for the year.

The money raised for UNTD will help the university provide much-needed scholarship support for deserving students and aid in the exciting growth happening on campus.

UNT Dallas also extends its congratulations to the other UNT System schools who participated in North Texas Giving Day:

• UNT Denton - $8,850

• UNTHSC - $1,575

• UNT Kristin Farmer Autism Center - $850

Friends of UNT Dallas are encouraged to follow the university on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram at UNTDallas to see the impact of their generosity.
